Our Story

Built by a clinician, for clinicians

ForceIQ started in the clinic. It's the tool I wanted. Laboratory grade analytics to answer hard questions about real patients.

I'm a physical therapist, athletic trainer, and researcher, in practice since 2012. I spent years measuring strength the hard way: a handheld dynamometer, a notepad, and a gut feeling about whether a number meant something or not.

Force plates and isometric dynamometers gave us better signals, but the software around them never kept up. I was exporting raw curves into spreadsheets, writing my own formulas, and second-guessing whether peak torque and limb symmetry were enough to make a return-to-play decision. Knowing these metrics only scratched the surface and gave limited insight. That gap, between a good measurement and a trustworthy interpretation, is where decisions get made about whether an athlete goes back on the field.

So I built the first excel dashboard version of this myself. It was rough, but it worked, and clinicians started using it every day. ForceIQ is the rebuild: the same clinical thinking, rewritten from the ground up to be faster, more rigorous, and honest about the limits of the data it's given.

I still see this the way a clinician sees it. Every decision in the product gets measured against one question: does this help someone make a better, faster call with a patient in front of them?

What we believe

Rigor over reassurance

We compute metrics on the data the device actually recorded, at its real sample rate. We don't interpolate a signal into looking smoother and more confident than it is. The math is verified against known datasets, and we publish how each metric is defined.

Honest about uncertainty

When a measurement can't support a confident number, we say so instead of hiding it. Reliability is flagged in plain clinical language so you know when to lean on a value and when to interpret it with caution.

Hardware-agnostic

Good measurement is a property of the signal, not the brand on the device. ForceIQ works with the equipment you already own and describes what each device's data can and can't tell you, so the choice stays yours.

The clinician owns the decision

We surface the science clearly and flag what's meaningful. We don't make the call for you. The tool is built to sharpen clinical judgment, not replace it.
